This reunion celebrated the St. Olaf College Class of 1969. I was born in Northfield Minnesota in 1947 while my dad (deceased) was finishing his degree at Saint Olaf, so I brought my mom with me, along with wife Brenda. It was quite a thrill for us all!
As a photographer, my instincts were somewhat thwarted because I had to choose between being fully present at the event as a participant, and moving about for better angles and more pleasing composition. I ended up making mostly snap shots instead of a full documentation of the event. This gallery is the result.
My day began with our class lunch, then the Saint Olaf Choir Alumni rehearsal, next off to the Ole Cafe (nee Ole Store) for more conversation and ending with an evening Saint Olaf Choir concert. Choir alumni were invited to sing in the final two pieces in the concert.

The laugh of the day for me was during choir rehearsal when following a run through of "Beautiful Savior" a person in front of Bruce Rollie and me said, to no one in particular, "That is quite a nice song!" Bruce and I both bloodied our tongues to suppress our response to someone who must have been a visitor.
Choir rehearsal brought many tears as we sang together with basses from our era. Thanks Mark Hanson, Richard Steen and Bruce Rollie for the opportunity to sing with you again!
Finally, thanks to our classmates who worked so hard to coordinate the reunion. Special recognition to the Alumni Staff of Saint Olaf for their work to make the day such a success.
