This gallery is to show what is possible using photographs of art in Central Christian Church to help tell the story of ministry at Central. Bulletin covers, sermon examples, Evangelism materials, the front page of Central's Web site as background or cycled through and in brochures and books are some of the possibilities. Produce once, publish everywhere! Too often great art that we see regularly gets lost as mere background. By isolating these pieces of art, we shine a new light on and through them. What has been common becomes uncommon when seen by themselves or in a different context.
I made these images after worship one day using my camera hand held, meaning without a tripod. They are a test for now. Much more attention needs to be paid to the angle they were shot at and they all need to be shot from a tripod to secure the best possible detail. A ladder will also help to make them better by reducing parallax - the distortion that happens when they are not taken perpendicular to the surface of the wall.
